Car Update
We decided against the Chevy HHR. Seems that when you roll down the back windows, you get this horrendous pulsating on your ear drums that just plain hurts. Not kind of hurts or slightly annoying either. The kind of hurt that was still there about 10 minutes after getting home even!

So, yesterday morning, I took it back. I went to the Ford dealership to look at the Pacifica again and talk numbers again. They had given me an out the door qoute over the phone before going back up there. Apparently, that qoute wasn't so solid after all. I arrived and they were trying to change the numbers again. I took out the "car fincance work up sheet" and wrote out the out the door price including a hundred thousand bumper to bumper extended warranty on it. I explained to them that when and if they decided they could make that number work, to call me. The salesman kept insisting that both Jeff and I come back when he got off work. To which I responded that the only need for further communication between all of us was if he was going to make that price work. Period. If he could, great give me a call and we will come back. If he couldn't, no worries, we would still be friends and there was no need for a call to us or a return visit. He waited until almost 4pm (this all took place around 11am) to call me.

Unfortunately for him, I was sitting with the sales guy that I had been working with at Herb Easley. I brought home a Hyundia Sonata for Jeff to look at. They carry the best warranty, we are going to get it for several thousand dollars less than anything else we looked at AND it gets much, much better gas mileage. Nothing is final yet. I feel the need for a tad bit more browsing, but it looks like this one might just work for us.
