Scare
Yesterday afternoon, just before leaving to go pick up the girls from school and talk numbers with my "car buddy" (as Jeff likes to refer to him) at the dealership, Kolby came in stating that he had a boo-boo on his neck and needed not one, but THREE bandaids for it. To amuse him, I put the bandaids on laughing that there was absolutely nothing wrong with his neck. Within 5 minutes, he was screaming with huge tears rolling down his face because it "hurt". It was clear to both me and Jeff that this wasn't just another ploy for attention. I gave him some OTC pain reliever medicine but quickly decided that I was taking him to the ER.

He screamed every time we hit even the slightest bump in the road begging me to get him to the doctor. He acted much the same way once at the hospital until it was about time for the doctor to actually see him. You could tell even then that it was still hurting, but certainly not as it had been.

The doctor asked him what happened and he spilled his guts! Apparently he had climbed up onto my car and jumped off hurting his neck. He had run outside just before he started crying to get his blanket out of my car. When he came back in, he laid down quietly on the couch. I'm guessing that he knew he would be in trouble for what he did, so he just "hid out" so to speak.

Anywho, nothing serious at all. He seems to have jolted his neck just write from the fall or jump or whatever it was and caused a very large knot in his neck which then started causing spasms. It's working itself out, but even this morning he was hurting a bit.

Kolby is still blaming his old car seat....which he seems to have very quickly outgrown in the past few weeks....for hurting his neck! Tehehehe. And he is less than impressed with the new booster seat that we bought for him.....he thinks it's lame! Muwahahaha. I love this boy!
