FOUND!!!
| We found and more importantly, caught the hamster last night. Yes, yes, everyone can rest peacefully tonight knowing that Fergie is back in her cage safe and sound. I should know later today what day Sissy's surgery will be. I'm kind of hoping that they can do it tomorrow and then I could go watch at least part of the competition in Tulsa this weekend. How sweet would that be? As it stands right now, I won't be going to Tulsa with Jeff this weekend. We can't leave Sissy for that long. So, I'm staying home. And with the cost of fixing the pool and the cost of her surgery, it doesn't look like we will be able to afford for both of us to go to Indiana for the nationals either. Jeff suggested that he not go this year, but that is just unacceptable......he is going. But paying for two of us to go, paying a dog sitter and finding someone to keep the kids just adds up to too much money right now on top of everything else. I'm terribly disappointed by this. I was so excited to get to go with him this year. He won't be here to fly in it next summer, so I guess that I will have to wait 2 years to go. As they say though.....that's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. I finally got Kolby's room re-arranged this morning. The way that it was set up before, his bed was by his window. Which never seemed to cause a problem unless our nieces and nephews were here. Then, they somehow always managed to get yanked out of the wall. Of course, none of them ever knew how it happened! Uh huh, we've all heard that before right? Anyway, the problem should be fixed now and truthfully, I think I like it better like this now anyway. It's always nice to get such a big project done so early in the morning. Now if I could just get the vet to hurry up and call me back so that I can go run my errands real quick and pick up the kids (FOR THE LAST TIME YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!) at school. Can't tell that I'm a little excited about that can ya? Tehehehe Jeff's "early" father's day present came in today! We had bought him this cheap, but supposedly adequate, generator for Lightning, but the first time he used it, it pretty well shook itself apart internally. So, I went ahead and bought him the Honda EU1000I that everyone else is using. He's going to be so super excited when he gets home. I'm sure that I won't see him for a good hour or so while he runs it out to the shop to play around with it! *laughs* And that.....that is the rest of the story! |
