Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!
Love, Jeff, Shelly, Zoe & Kolby

Apparently, I have been a day ahead of myself all week long! I went so far as to convince Jeff this morning that it wasn't Wednesday at all....rather it is Thursday! ARGH! I'm so silly sometimes.
All is well here. The pool is completely drained and Jeff is trying to reset the liner himself as I type this. Cross your fingers for us please cause it would help a lot if we didn't have to pay someone to come out and do this yet AGAIN! Hopefully by this time tomorrow, the pool will be almost filled again and ready for use! Jeff is just so amazing. I swear that there isn't anything this man can't do!
The kids are having a blast I'm sure. Of course that is just a guess since they are staying the night at my mom's house tonight. Figures that one of the few nights that we don't have either of them here, he is out working on the pool all night. Tehehehe. No biggie though, we do have the rest of our lives after all.
Our hearts go out to one of Jeff's dear friends and mentors in the Oregon Guard. Jeff received word today that during a training exercise on Tuesday in the F-15, there was some sort of mishap that ended tragically. Jeff doesn't know any of the details other than it was over the ocean and his friends body was recovered today. It's a horrible story and one that puts more fear in me in regard to Jeff flying.
Sissy isn't doing too well. She completely stopped walking or putting any weight at all on the leg that she had surgery on. We thought perhaps it was just sore from fighting the vet yesterday morning when getting the stitches removed. However, there is now an area that is pussing and swelling and the skin is hot to the touch. We are pretty sure there is an infection. So, looks like we will be getting another call from the vet in the morning to check her out.
We have had a lot of trouble putting any weight on Lucky since we have had him. He just doesn't eat like he should. This morning I let Benny in to play hoping that maybe Lucky would eat some if Benny wasn't out there to intimidate him. Benny loved it, as the pictures below will show but our plan failed. Lucky didn't eat at all. I ended up going out there and hand feeding Lucky at that point. He ate 1.5 bowls of food. Just woofed it down! WOW! Of course, apparently he inhaled it a bit too fast as he hacked a lot of it up a few minutes after I came in! No worries though, he ate that too! Yeah, I know.....EEWWW!!!! I wanted to hack seeing it myself. I suppose it's better than nothing though, so now it would seem that not only will I be tending to Sissy throughout the day, I will be handfeeding Lucky twice a day to see if we can fill him out a bit more.
In the mean time, Benny has been feeling a bit neglected and wanted to share some pictures with everyone showing off his new style!
PS....Benny was less than impressed that he didn't get a card from AJ too! Tehehehe
PSS...Cheryl, I have asked Jeff several times to tell you that I emailed you, but he keeps forgetting. I sent you one out several weeks ago when you sent the card to us, but I'm guessing it went into your spam folder and you never actually saw it. I will try again tomorrow though, so be on the lookout! Didn't want you to think that I just disregarded your invitation to say hello!
