NATS Adventure: Day Seven
The storms rolled in late last night but there was no rain this morning when we woke up to head to the field. That is until Jeff started loading stuff into the truck! *laughs* The rain went off and on all morning long. Rain, sit under the tent and wait it out, get 4 or 5 people's flights in and then back to waiting out the rain. The good news is that we did get everyone in Master's through their flights eventually! AND......Jeff is flying A LOT better today. YAY!!! He flew great yesterday too, but everyone here is raving about how much better he is doing!

We left off last night that he was in 10th place for Master's.

Today, he is in 6th place!!!!! Despite getting horridly raked over the coals by the judges on his first round........at least EVERYONE got raked!

How freaking awesome is that?

I'm so incredibly proud of you Jeff and can't wait for tomorrow!

Here are a few random pictures from today.

And a video of his first flight this morning.

Tonight, we are going to the banquet dinner at the country club and we will find out the results of the pattern beauty contest! I think that Jeff has a really, really good shot at winning that with his Lightning. Everyone here just goes on and on about how amazing the airplane is. I simply reply, "Of course it is amazing! Jeff designed and built it! Were you expecting something less than exceptional?" Tehehehe....or something along those lines anyway!

Everyone here is doing beautifully and hopefully I will get to update tonight with some pictures from the banquet.

Tomorrow night, I planned a D-6 party of sorts and we will be hosting a small gathering of our "local" crew here at the camper. Grilling steaks and such. YUMMY! The only part that sucks about NATS is that we really don't get to see all of our friends, so this way we can all hang out together at least for a bit!

Zoe & Kolby, we miss and love you VERY much and can't wait to get home to see you!!!!
