Packing Away
Well, we leave first thing in the morning for Celina, OH. That is where we will spend the first few nights so that we are closer to the flying field where Jeff will be practicing. The bad part about camping is that we have to pack a TON more stuff. We had a lot to do today, so everything going crazy was not my ideal situation. Kandice and I got together and spent a large chunk of the afternoon shopping for a project that we are working on together. I just love getting to spend time with her, so that was great! Then I picked up Zoe to go buy her some hair dye so that we could do her hair before we left, but as we were leaving my mom's house, Jeff called me asking me if I could come get Kolby. Apparently during Jeff's second practice flight, Kolby ran off to play on the bleachers and took a tumble. I really didn't think it sounded that bad, but when I got there, his face was all kind of busted up! I figured I better take him to the ER to get checked. Here's Kolby showing off his battle wounds for the camera!     As you can see, he caught the bridge of his nose REALLY well and one of his eyes! We don't know if he broke his nose yet and won't know until some of the massive swelling goes down, but the doctors say there is nothing they can do for it even if he did. So, he needs to keep ice on it as much as he will let us and that's about all that can be done. Silly boy! I swear, they know him by first name around there! Welcome home Smokey! I'm so super excited that Smokey is home with us now! He is just plain adorable!!! Although, with all of the Kolby excitement, Smokey almost didn't make it here today. Zoe reminded me that we were suppose to go pick up Smokey after getting her hair stuff once we picked up Kolby. In the mix of all of the drama, I had totally forgotten. Here it was 30 minutes before the shelter closed and there was no way I was going to make it there in time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Kandice! She rushed to the rescue....quite literally and figuratively....as soon as I called her. She picked up Smokey at the shelter rescue and brought him home for me so that he was here waiting for me when I got here! I told you, I have the absolute best friends in the world!!!!     Ozzy is still getting all of the attention in the world from Jeff! Tehehehe....are we starting to see a trend here?    Zoe is working on making "family bracelets" for everyone now that we will officially be a family!. *smiles wildly*   And here's a video for all of you! It's just plain adorable and Jeff is soooo freaking proud of his accomplishment!!!! |
