Too Long
I know, I know, it has been far too long since I have updated our little corner of the web here. Camping was A LOT of fun! We all had an absolute blast and my concern over camping with 5 dogs turned out to be completely unwarranted. They were absolute angels. We swam, cooked out together, played Wahoo a few times, roasted marshmellows and made smores too! We did come back on Sunday afternoon though. In hindsight, taking the kids on a 2 mile hike just after breakfast on Sunday morning was a bit of overload for them! Tehehehe. Next time we will save that for the planned day of departure. However, we are all looking forward to the next camping trip together! YAY!

We got home and Kolby ended up feeling sick. So, he stayed home from school on Tuesday and I took him in to see the doctor. Just a cold it turned out, but was cleared to go back to school on Wednesday provided his fever didn't spike up or anything. AND it didn't! I also had a doctor's appointment Tuesday to try to snipe this sinus infection in the bud once and for all. I have just felt like poo ever since though. Worse than before I went to the doctor actually. Which is why this blog hasn't been updated at all! To top it off, Zoe came home sick from school today too! Tehehehe....she's fine now but gosh!

All of the dogs are doing well. We still haven't heard back from the tests we had done last week on Lucky. I think he has lost even more weight in just the past week. Poor guy.

This Saturday, I start my training to be a volunteer with CASA! WAHOO! I'm so super excited about this finally getting going. Although, it will mean missing some of the time with Donna during her trip in a couple of weeks and missing the Frisco contest....or at least part of it....and that is disappointing. I'm still excited though! Every Saturday, all day long for the entire month of September. Wooh, that's a lot of training hours!

After training, I get to come home to get ready for a get together for Jeff's work buddies that we are hosting here at the house. I'm actually, really looking forward to getting to see everyone. We always have so much fun with all of them.

Oh, and our oven has apparently gone out. It won't turn on at all and it seems that the standard response to getting someone here to fix it is 2 weeks from now! ARGH! What a royal pain. Although me being the optimist that I am, I keep reminding myself that this will likely mean a lot less cooking for me over the next couple of weeks. Muwahahaha. I can live with that.

And on that note, I'm off for the night to watch a movie while Jeff is hiding out watching the Beavers play.

GO BEAVERS!!!!!
