The Joy of Children
| Yesterday, our friend Tera was over here waiting to go to the PTO meeting with me. Her daughter Kaiya is the cutest thing you have ever imagined and has been taught the correct terms for body parts just like our children have been. It's no big suprise to hear those words around our house usually, but sometimes it is HIGHLY amusing! Kaiya to Kolby: Do you have a penis? Kolby to Kaiya: Yes, I do and YOU have a vagina. Let's play with the cars now. Muwahahaha. We all laughed until we thought we were going to pee our pants!The kids were just so matter of fact. This week has been crazy insane. What with board meetings for the PTO, the general meeting for the PTO and the wives wine night social! I've got all of the housework caught up and am getting ready for a little spring cleaning now! YAY me. Our dishwasher crapped out on us and even though Jeff wanted us to just keep fixing it, I opted to go out and buy a new one yesterday. It just wasn't worth the hassle of having to fix it and I figured that he had enough on his plate with the table. I really didn't want to ask him to do more. So, I found a great dishwasher that was marked down from $650 to $340 because it is what is called the "L" model. Which apparently means that the item was never intended to be in the store, so it is taking up needed space for something else. And each day, it is marked down more and more. So, next time you need an appliance, go to Sears and ask if they have any of these models. It's never been out of the box and is perfectly fine, they just mark it down to sell it rather than pay to ship it back to somewhere else. I can live with that. Anywho, I didn't want him to have to worry about installing it either and refused to pay almost $300 to have it delivered and installed, so I did that too! WAHOO! I removed the old one and installed the new one! I was soooo proud of myself. Of course then my mom rained on my parade and said, "well, it's not like installing a dishwasher is HARD Shelly!" Tehehehhe I got all of the supplies for our Christmas card making picked up yesterday. I can't wait to sit down with the kids and do them now. I think I have everyone's addresses, but if someone in Oregon would be so kind as to send me an email with everyone's addresses from that side of the family, it would be much appreciated! Pauline, could you send addresses from everyone there too? I know I don't have Linda and Edwards, Jocelyn's or most of them there. I'm still working on all of the pictures getting downloaded to the computer so that I can share them with all of you. Hopefully I can do that the early part of next week. I will be spending the weekend...starting this morning....working the booth with my mom at Hangar Holiday Craft Show this weekend. So, it's not going to happen in the next few days. Anywho, that's about all that I have for now. Hope everyone is doing beautifully. We miss and love you all! |
