Beautiful Morning
| What a spectacular morning it is! I woke up this morning and immediately started blaring the Christmas music. I figured if I HAD to wake up everyone in the house up, what better way to wake up but to magical tunes filling our home. Everyone is off to school and work as I sit here to update the page singing along to the music. So, if I start typing the words to the songs, you know why! Tehehehe Today is a big day for me. I am testifying for the first time as a CASA volunteer. Well, testifying for the first time ever....period. I must admit that I am terribly nervous about this. What a massive responsibility that lands on my shoulders. Not that I didn't understand that when I became a volunteer, but reality is always a harsh wake up call isn't it? Thankfully, I was able to get in a lot of time over the last week with the child and feel as if I really have something to contribute to the hearing. Doing this volunteer work only makes me value our family life even more. I already knew how amazingly lucky we were, but these children really send it home for me. We are so truly blessed in all that we have, but particularly so in having each other. Other than trying to catch up with the therapists and such before the hearing this morning, there isn't much on my schedule. Hopefully I will finally get around to cleaning some windows! Tehehehehe. They need it horribly and obviously I am not going to get a special little fairy of my own like in the Fairly Odd Parents, that will magically make them clean for me! Darn the luck. And on that note, I'm out of here for now! It's cold, cold, cold outside here and I can only imagine what it is like in Oregon. Hope everyone is staying warm and feeling more loved than ever before!
