Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!
Love, Jeff, Shelly, Zoe & Kolby

of Jeff's Christmas vacation and we pretty well spent it doing a whole lot of NOTHING! YAY us! I can't believe that Christmas break is almost over for everyone. I'm both sad to see it come to an end AND anxiously awaiting it. I love having everyone home, but I never seem to get my work done because I'm too excited about getting to spend so much time with everyone!
Over the last month or so, Ozzy has been working furiously on our sunroom screen. It seems that he felt that there needed to be a whole in it. He finally accomplished making a small whole. Apparently that wasn't enough either. It just had to be bigger he thought. Sooo....now it's a whole lot bigger! Tehehehe. The other dogs love it too. Benny and Smokey especially. Benny uses it as a "petting whole" and Smokey now uses it as an entrance and exit door as he sees fit! Tehehehe.
The kids are all doing wonderfully. They both have birthdays this month and are more than excited about that! Kolby's is on the 18th and Zoe's is on the 30th. Since Kolby's chore of letting the dogs out and feeding them every morning has become way too difficult with Lucky attacking the food bucket, we chose to remove that from his chore list. Obviously this has traumatized Kolby somewhat as he seems to feel that he MUST have chores. Who are we to argue that logic? Tehehehe. This has left Kolby on a mission. A mission to find NEW and BETTER chores for him to do. We have gone through several different types of chores. Watering the plants? Nah, didn't work. He killed 2 of my plants by drowning. Dusting? Nope, he can't reach most of the stuff that needs to be dusted. Cleaning his room? This one actually is a chore, but not one that he appreciates having. So, he decided today that his new chore would be washing dishes. I must say that had he actually completed the chore, this might have been a good one for him. He insists that it is a good one because he does it a lot better than Zoe does. He kept saying over and over, "see mom, I'm not leaving food on the dishes like Zoe does. I do this sooooo much better than my sister! THIS should be MY chore!" Muwahaha. How can you not just adore this little boy? He's perfection to a tee.
Zoe has tried to spend as much time away from home as possible. *laughs* She has kept us running to ball games, movies, friends houses and birthday parties for the entire break. She seems to have hit the "nice Zoe" phase though and it appears to be sticking. She is such an absolute pleasure to be around now! YAY for everyone!!! I can't believe that she is going to be 15 this month. I haven't a clue where the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday, she was Kolby's age and I suppose that I have issues with remembering that she is actually as grown as she is. She is truly wonderful though. We are the luckiest parents in the world to have such beautiful children!
