My Day Yesterday
| Well, I went in yesterday to have surgery on both of my big toes. They removed both nails. I was sure to ask if this recovery was any worse than just having the sides cut out. They assured me that it wasn't. They lied. I'm convinced. I don't remember having the sides cut out hurt this dang much. It was funny though, as the doctor was numbing my toes, all I could imagine was that scene in 40 Year Old Virgin when he was getting waxed. Muwahahaha. No worries. The wonderful Dr. Stuart did not hear any of that kind of profanity. I worked really hard to make sure that he didn't. Thankfully Dr. Stuart and Mrs. Humphrey are both amazing people and made the procedure as pleasurable as possible. Big, huge props to Zoe though who handled the shots a lot better than I did! Now I'm super proud of her. I thought about taking a picture this morning when I changed the bandages but quite frankly, I'm just not that mean. Well, and I don't want to have to see them every time I come to our blog either. Tehehehe. Mom is working away on the Jedi robes for all of the kids this Friday at Kolby's party. Jeff picked up the PVC to make everyone a light saber and Thursday, I will pick up the food to make and such. Jeff took off Friday and things worked out nicely. Since the kids have early dismissal that day, we are going to be able to have the party in the early afternoon so that mom and I can leave for Dallas at a decent hour on Friday night. Market is on Saturday after all. Please do send positive thoughts for me so that my toes feel up to the great adventure ahead of me! *grins* Not a lot left to say. I'm going to try to get some laundry done today and run to the store to pick up some stuff that we are running low on. Had I thought this out AT ALL in advance, I would have had all of this stuff done before the surgery so that I could have just lounged around for a few days, but I wasn't thinking that far in advance. Silly me. Tehehehe. Our love to you all! |
