Happy Birthday Kolby
| The invitation read: Star Wars The Lost Episode: It was a time of turmoil in the galaxy. Six years ago, a baby boy was born. His name was Kolby and he was strong with the force. Hidden away on a remote planet called earth, Kolby’s Jedi training has been progressing well. But now the Sith have learned of the boy and seek him diligently. To overcome this threat, Kolby will need the help of others. So, a call is sent out for other brave younglings to come and learn the ways of the Jedi. Only with their strength and courage can the Sith be defeated and the Jedi order preserved. Sydney, you have been chosen to join forces with Kolby and the Jedi order to stop the evil of the Sith! This Jedi training will be disguised as a birthday party, so the Sith will hopefully not learn of our plans. If you are up to the challenge, make your way to the **** subdivision of the Wichita Falls star system. The “party” will take place at landing platform **** of Castle spaceport. Training will begin promptly at 1:30 and last until 3:30 on January 18, 2008 standard Earth time. You will not need to eat before arriving since you will be served special force-fortified food to prepare you for your training. Also, the Sith will be surely watching anyone who is traveling in this sector while armed. So, leave your weapons at home. All you need will be provided. Finally, we know that the force is strong in the Briggs family, so feel free to bring along any family member who desires to accept. They too will be tested. As you know, these are desperate times, so please let the Jedi Council know if you and any family members will be attending the “party” by calling Queen Amidala’s representative on Earth, Shelly at 555-1111. May the Force be with you always! As everyone entered into the "party" for their Jedi training, they were greeted at the door by Queen Amidala.  What better way to kick off the party than with Obi Wan Kenobi? Little Miss Kaiya just loved him and walked around the entire time telling "Master" (as she referred to him)as much. Unfortunately, it would seem that Obi seems to have forgotten that he is one of the good guys! Tehehehe  You knew it would be long didn't you?!?!?!     Luke Skywalker attended the "party" so as to provide adequate Jedi training to all of the younglings. Here are a few shots of the different levels of training that they all went through. You will see that they played Pin the Tail on the Donkey, shooting nerf balls at a small target on the wall, plunging nerf footballs through small holes in boxes and light saber training (Jeff made one for each child at the party)!               And what good would training do if the younglings aren't tested on demonstrating their new abilities? None. So, we set up a maze that went through the sunroom and our bedroom. It was dark going through the maze and the younglings had to rip through barriers (crepe paper strung across the path) and at the end, they had to destroy the clone ships and collect the core from the ship that they destroyed. For that, we used white balloons with blinking lights in them and glow in the dark balls. I think this was likely the kids most favorite part of the entire party! They kept wanting to go through the maze over and over again! Tehehehe. Jeff really did an amazing job on this!     After all of that hard work, the younglings were more than ready for a little cake and ice cream. They had worked up quite the appetite! But first, Queen Amidala and Skywalker had to reward the younglings with their new Jedi robes with their successful completion of the Jedi training.                      When suddenly, a suprise visitor appeared out of nowhere! No worries though....as you will clearly see, the newly trained Jedi took care of him!              Oh, but we weren't done yet. We still had one more mission for the new Jedi to complete. They had to destroy the death star that was hovering outside our home.      |
