Not Quite as Nice & a Promise
| First the promise because that isn't as frustrating. I give you my word that I will download the pictures I've been promising. Zoe just gave me the memory card that they are on! YAY me for remembering! Now to the other......my excuse for the lack of blogging and other things! I have been incredibly frustrated for the past three days. If you know me very well at all, you know how hard it is to get me to the point that the only thing I can talk about is my frustration. Sure I get frustrated with things, but usually it's a momentary thing and then I move on because frankly it just isn't worth my energy. So, how did something get me this worked up? Well, I WAS going to spill the beans here, but then I went to wake up Kolby and changed my mind when I saw his incredibly sweet face. Thankfully so as this really isn't the proper time or place for "spilling the beans". (Thank you Kolby!!!) Suffice to say that I'm involved in an organization that is operating illegally, immorally and in impractical, unlogical form. Of course that would annoy me to no end. Hopefully a meeting today will put my mind to rest some though. On to other things.....Jeff came home from work early on Tuesday due to not feeling well. He stayed home yesterday too. He went back in at a whopping 5:45 this morning, even though I personally didn't really feel like he needed to yet. BUT, he said that he wasn't feeling quite as bad as he did the previous two days. Just a stomach virus, nothing serious. It's amazing that with all of the sickness we have had in the house and there has been at work, that it wasn't either sooner or something much nastier! Everyone else seems to be either completely healthy or in my case, working on it. Zoe is officially a trackster. Last weekend we went and bought her new running shoes and running clothes. Monday started the "official" tryouts.....where no one really gets cut, they just don't run in the meets. *laughs* Anywho, she seems to be doing superbly well and thinks that she has decided that she is a sprinter. Jeff is super excited that she is running track...even if it is sprinting and not cross country! Tehehehe. Today, she is trying out on the poles. We tried to talk her into high jumping, but she said she tried it twice and just didn't like it. Tehehehehe. Zoe stays after school everyday except Fridays until 5pm and then rides the sports bus home. She's working so hard....what a wonderfully nice change from the usual "it's too much work or it's too hard, so I don't want to do it" spill that we usually get about stuff from her. We are incredibly proud of her! Kolby has moved up in martial arts from Little Dragon to Little Warrior. I'm overwhelmingly amazed by the increase of instruction and his learning already. He's learning take downs and all kinds of other really cool stuff. Yesterday, we bought him gloves, shin gaurds and a mouth guard as he will start sparring and kickboxing in this program. We also signed him up for a Monday class (in addition to his already Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday classes each week). The Monday class is a class where they put all that they are learning into practice. There isn't a lot of instruction on Mondays, so it's really good practice. Kolby says that his goal is to earn his black belt (long, long ways away) as quickly as possible and then become an instructor. I don't think he likes this stuff at all! Tehehehe. This leaves our little Kolby with classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.....and Campfire on Thursdays. He has a better social calendar than we do! AND....Kolby will be in his first tournament ever this Saturday! He'll be a busy little beaver that day as he will be in class for an hour, take a lunch break and then be in a tournament for an hour and a half. I'm excited though. I can't wait to see our little man in action! I have been working away with all of my volunteer work. It's been fun and frustrating. Being a CASA is a wonderful experience that breaks your heart sometimes but what a joy when you see those kids faces light up with a smile! Besides that, it's mostly been taking care of the house and doing the "wives social" things! Tehehehe. I can't complain one bit really. I have a full and beautiful life that I thoroughly enjoy. We are about to hit full swing though. You thought we were already there didn't you? HA! Not even close. Unfortunately, we are running out of time here and are now just 2 months away from Jeff leaving for Luke. *insert sad face here* If anyone would like to come help us get ready for that, you are more than welcome! *hint, hint* We have to update wills, sign POA's, change bank accounts....but that isn't anything you can help with! Tehehehe. We also have to get the new tv stand built, the dining room table completed (no that isn't done yet), crates built well enough to protect all of Jeff's airplanes during the moves that he won't be here for, get the airplanes packed into the crates, overhaul the backyard, maybe just a bit of sprucing in the front yard, remove wallpaper border and repaint the master bathroom, pack up Jeff's entire workshop....tools and all, scrub down of the house, hold a HUGE garage sale, sell Jeff's truck (that won't be until after he leaves for Korea though), get tires for the Porsche and get it storage ready, recover all of the furniture in the sunroom (hint mom!), get all of his clothes and stuff packed and ready to leave (we'll have to do this twice) and I haven't even really scratched the surface at what all is left to be done! Tehehehehe. Oh yes, and I may be looking for a temporary home for the dogs for a few months while we have the house on the market. Apparently having them here could decrease people's interest in buying the house (we will be putting it on the market in April sometime). We have time though right? Alright, I have had to leave this blog entry 4 times now to do other things, so it's probably time that I get to it. Besides our dear, wonderful, amazing friend Tera should be here shortly for coffee! Tehehehe. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and checks back shortly for those promised, but always forgotten, pictures! Our love to you all! P.S. Muwahahaha I just realized that above, I only promised to download the pictures! I didn't say when! I'm free! I'm free! Just kidding....I'll download them this morning! Tehehehe |
