Sorrow & Joy
Today was the big day....to decorate the outside of the house with all of the Christmas stuff, but someone had a bug right up his butt! Kolby decided that he was just going to run away. So, I chatted with him for a bit about it and explained how long it was going to take him to walk from our house to grandma's (about 20 miles) and just how much he really could carry that far. He was less than impressed that he wasn't going to get to take his XBox 360, the games or his Christmas presents under the tree. He still insisted that he was packing up his clothes and heading out the door!  Needless to say, he didn't take my advice on using his backpack. He believed that carrying his sleeping bag would be just as easy to carry as some silly backpack. Besides, he could fit more into the sleeping bag. No worries, we didn't let him get too far before making him turn around and walk back. And it wasn't until then that we realized he hadn't packed any clothing at all, just his 360 games and the freaking presents from under the tree! Muwahahahaha. Once that was all taken care of, we carried on with decorating outside!       Isn't it fantastic? We're not the Griswald's yet, but we are working on it! |
