Simple Math
Mrs. Westcoat has 4 apples. If she cuts them all in half, how many kids can have a piece of apple? Draw a picture to show your work.

It took me awhile to convince Kolby that he actually needed to draw more than a simple line to work this problem. He finally conceded and did it my way. He claims that he is cutting them in half now and begins counting. When he reached the number 10, I became a little concerned. So, he showed me his work and he had cut the apples into quarters. When I questioned this, he said that he thought more kids should be able to get a piece of apple than could if you just cut it in halves!

Muwahahaha. Our son is so flipping cute!

Oh yes, and a special package came from Grandpa Bill and Grandma Cheryl filled with birthday presents for Kolby, Zoe and even me! Of course there are notes attached to both mine and Zoe's that we have to wait until our birthdays, but Kolby got to open his today! He was SUPER impressed! So impressed in fact, that he immediately starting ripping open the next package unable to see what else there was! I managed to stop him before he had absolutely all of the paper off of my birthday package, but not before he peeked in the box and saw what it was! Tehehehe. So, now I'm in a pickle!

And while Tera was here, we stopped by Ross looking for a skirt for her. Oh my goodness! I have never found so many cute pairs of shoes there! I was a very bad girl, but will look freaking cute in these shoes!

Work today was a lot of fun. I was in a kindergarten class. They are all so flippin' nifty! Not much else going on around here other than the "usual". Besides working this week, I have 3 social events for the spouses groups to attend, 3 more martial arts classes, a soccer game and a booster club meeting! YAY me!
