Farewell
Today was the SOSC's last social of the year. It was the Taste of Nato and boy did the 9 SNR's from different countries out-do themselves! Each prepared foods from their respective countries and it was absolutely delicious! And as if we weren't all going to stuff our faces enough already, they have a very special rule to assure that you go one step beyond stuffing your face. We all got a little passport book and at each table, when we got our food, we got a little sticker placed in the passport. Here's the sneaky part. You couldn't win any of the door prizes unless you collected all 9 stickers! Muwahahaha. I love them! As a result, I got to blame them on eating entirely too much for a week, let alone just one day! We also "farewelled" 19 of our members (myself included) that will be PCS'ing between now and the end of the summer. As hospitality chair, I had the pleasure of picking out the farewell gifts and presenting them to everyone! I ended up going with a cosmetic bag with "SOSC" spelled out in rhinestones on the outside and a good luck charm to finish off our "charming our way into your hearts" charm bracelets. Here are a couple of pictures.

All of us board members received gifts as well for serving this year. They were absolutely awesome! It was the angel pictured below and a gable charm!

When I came home, I hung my bag up in the bathroom and couldn't help but stop to reflect on the year. What a magnificient year it was too! I met so many truly exceptional people and found myself wishing that I had just a little more time to get to know them all! My many, many thanks to everyone that has come into my life over the past year! I love each of you and sincerely hope to be friends for years and years to come!
