Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!

Last night, we threw a surprise birthday party for one of Zoe's best friends, Marina. Zoe cracked me up as she freaked out for 2 solid days before the party, worrying herself sick that something would go wrong. Mainly that she might say the wrong thing and give it all away. She has been working on this party for over a month now. She planned everything down to the last detail and did a fantastic job planning! Here are a few shots from outside at the pool! The boy on the crutches is Zoe's newest "interest".
Kolby, as usual, fit right into the mix of things. Whether it was rough housing with the guys, flirting hard core with the girls or rocking out on Guitar Hero with the entire crowd, he was smack dab in the middle of everything. He has been talking non-stop for 2 solid weeks about Alli coming to the party and was bouncing off the walls waiting for her to finally show up. Alli is one of Zoe's friends and also works at the Boys and Girls Club where Kolby goes a couple of days a week after school. She's not a girlfriend though, just one of his BEST FRIENDS. Tehehehehe. Marina's dad laughed when Kolby was on the trampoline telling me that I needed a picture of him jumping with the girls in bikinis so that he could show it off when he got older!
Unfortunately, the rain came pounding down about an hour and a half into the party. So, we grabbed up all of the food and presents and ran for cover inside! While there though, it gave Marina time to open up all of her gifts! About half of the kids gave her cash, but the other half were super creative....including giving her a big jar of marinara sauce (Marinara is her nickname!) Thehehehe. Zoe made her a t-shirt with the "push it" lyrics on it! Apparently it is some sort of hilarious inside joke that I haven't been brought in the loop on!
After opening presents, the rain stopped and the kids all split up. Some went back into the pool. Others watched a movie, some played Guitar Hero and the rest hung out in the kitchen. The funniest though was the guy that decided to plop down in the hallway and play a little guitar! Muwahahaha. Guess that when you have 30+ teenagers in your house, space is limited enough that the hallway floor becomes appealing! Tehehehehe.
The last of the kids left around 12:30 this morning and I'm pretty dang sure that everyone had a really good time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINA! WE LOVE YA!
