Zoe's CAP Flight
| Tonight, Zoe left Kickapoo Airpark on her first flight with the local Civil Air Patrol group. She was a tad bit nervous, but still accepted the front seat and was able to assist in take off, flying and landing. Here is a shot of her and Jacob before take off:  Here are a few shots over Burkburnett. Can you find our house? She swears that Benny was laying on the trampoline when they flew over! *laughs*:   Apparently while they were coming in to land, they had a "near incident" with a T-38 out of Sheppard. It would seem they got clearance for their landing, but when they looked up, there was a T-38 8 seconds away heading directly into them. So, the instructor grabbed the controls and swooped their little airplane down to avoid the jet! The instructor thought Zoe was going to puke everywhere and he was quite impressed when she didn't! Muwahahaha. Here's a couple of shots from landing:   And she finally makes it out of the airplane! I'm not sure that she could do this fast enough. She swears that while this flight may have been her first, it was also her last! :    And of course we can't leave out the picture of her getting her certificate! :  |
