On the Road Again
This morning, we were up and on the road by 5 am to start the trek. On the way, we saw a sign for the petrified forest. I just couldn't resist it! The funny story was that my mom took me and my brother on vacation and tried to stop there. Unfortunately, it was closed and she wasn't paying much attention and almost drove us through the closed gate. Tehehehe. I can't say that the kids were very impressed with it but I loved it!                    After 15.5 hours on the road, we finally made it to mom's house. And we finally got to give her the birthday present that we picked up on our way to Clovis.     I kept telling her that if she didn't like it, I would keep it. Tehehehe. I think she liked it though! Or at least, I didn't end up leaving with it! ;) We will spend a couple of nights here and then move on to south Louisiana to spend the night at my dad's house before finishing up the trip to SC. |
