Fly Bys and Basket Weaving
Jeff called this morning all excited to tell me that he was going to be doing the fly by for the Carolina Panthers game today! YAY JEFF! Of course, I immediately called everyone to let them know to watch the game and then about an hour before the game, I turned the tv to that channel as I finished weaving my first basket of the day (wine basket). I watched carefully as they wrapped up the pre-show and started the coverage at the game. Nothing. So, I watched the first two quarters anxiously awaiting half time thinking they might do it then. Nothing. Now, logically, I knew by this point that they just didn't show the actual fly by on tv, but I couldn't bare to turn the channel cause what if I were wrong? Leaving me to watch the Panthers get further slaughtered through the last two quarters hoping that I was wrong and they would do it at the end of the game. You guessed it, NOTHING! *pouts* But I did take a picture of the commentators to show that I WAS watching!  I guess that one good thing came from it though, I did get a second basket completed. It's a little desk organizer. I didn't really expect it to be so small and stinking cute, but it is!!!   Neither basket is stained yet but it felt awesome to get in a little more weaving! I so miss getting to go to the classes and almost always having a project going. Thankfully, I ordered the rest of the reed that I will need to complete mom's baskets (which will take me a little while to finish up) AND I ordered a couple of other kits too! YAY! Sue is sending me several kits to get completed too! I'm going to be buried with basket weaving projects for a while! I hope they all come in really quick! |
