Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!
Love, Jeff, Shelly, Zoe & Kolby

Kolby and I did not get off on the right foot this morning at all. He didn't want to get up and actually made me start the whole counting routine! Then, cried that he didn't know what to wear since they were suppose to wear red and green for the Christmas assembly.
As I was helping him dig through his drawers, he started scooting back and then started crying more when I found large clumps of his hair in the drawer! When I asked him what happened he just started crying more and refused to answer me. Now, I really didn't need him to tell me what happened. I knew exactly what he had done but refusing to talk to me was really making me angry. Then, we had to dig through his dirty clothes hamper to find jeans. Apparently when I told him to clean his room and to put the clean clothes he had dug out of his drawer back in the drawer, he didn't really hear me. So, all of his clean jeans ended up in the dirty clothes basket. Hopefully, he's wearing cleans ones today. I had to make the best guess that I could after all. We kept getting ready and I told him to get on his shoes. He couldn't find them. ARGH! Then he threw a huge crying fit because I wanted a picture of the damage!
Finally we got dressed and I told him to come out onto the porch so that I could fix the three HUGE gouges in his hair. Oh my goodness. I hadn't thought it was that big of a freaking deal since I shave his hair this way all of the time! Apparently it was though. He screamed and cried the entire time that I was trying to hurt him and that it was too cold to be outside. The cold I will give him but hurt really? So, our neighbors were subjected to his crying, my yelling and the sound of the clippers buzzing through the neighborhood. I actually at one point told him to "shutup" out of anger, which is a huge no-no in our house. We don't use that word and I immediately felt terrible for saying it but I felt even worse when he cried out, "you would NEVER say that to ME!" Holy cow, now we are both crying and it is just a few minutes past 6am. Finally we are done with the cutting of the hair and here are the results.
That's right, he cried yet again over taking the picture. Probably not the best time to be taking pictures, but I wanted it for later. I knew that EVENTUALLY I would find the whole thing funny. Not today mind you and probably not even in a week, but someday I certainly would. Thankfully he's a little boy and it was easy to fix. Unlike Kaia's haircut a couple of years ago! Tehehehe. Sorry Tera!
So, I ask you again? Is it really Friday? Aren't those days suppose to start out fantastic since the weeks pretty much over? 'Cause I'll tell ya, it sure feels like a Monday to me!
On a happier note, Kolby and I made up before he walked down to the bus stop. I explained why I was so upset with his behavior. Both apologizing and telling each other that we loved each other more than anything else in the world.
Now, I get to tidy up the house a bit, take a shower and then head out to Kolby's school for another 8 hour day there! I'm not sure that I have ever been so ready for a week to just be over.
