Farewells
Today, Jeff left for Iraq. We drove him out to the McEntire at 11am. The USO and the base coordinated for us to have lunch and some goodies for the guys & gals leaving and even the kiddos. And then we hung out there for three hours! Tehehe. We would have rathered had that time at home, but that's the way it goes.      The last picture is some of the guys doing a push up a thon in hopes of doing the most push ups in a minute for a "first class" seat! Tehehehe. The lady standing next to me got the same shot and we both laughed that it looked more like a "dirty" picture than what it was. Lots of butts anyway! Tehehe. Jeff didn't participate in this, but he did manage to pick one of the 10 numbers between 1 and 140 to get one of the exclusive "first class" seats! :) Which also bought us a few extra minutes to say goodbye too. We aren't sure how long it will take them to get there or when exactly we will hear from Jeff. We are expecting it to at least be a few days and as soon as we hear something, we will let everyone know. |
