Plans Thwarted
Tonight we decided to drive to Columbia to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse before Jeff leaves for Iraq. Unfortunately, the highway had different plans for us! Apparently, it felt that we all needed to hang out on the side of the road in the 100 degree heat to get in some good quality time.

Poor Jeff, he got out to change the tire only to learn that the jack provided with the car wasn't up to par. It would seem that the lever to actually jack up the car was a piece of poo and simply broke. So, we called the Ford road side assistance. I thought Jeff was going to jump through the mirror in the car where the bluetooth speaker was to really hurt the guy that answered the phone. We told him repeatedly that we were heading west on 378 approximately 10 miles east of Eastover, but he had to have either mile markers or intersections in order to send us help. Or the name of the town that we were in. We weren't in a town and SC doesn't believe in mile markers on the highways. Nor did we know any of the intersections or how far away they were. Finally I turned on the GPS, hit the help key and requested the nearest gas station. That got us the information we needed. Thank goodness! 20 minutes later, the tow truck guy was there and got the tire changed, but in the mean time, we decided to turn around and just have dinner in Sumter! Tehehehe.

It's all good though, we all had an incredible time together!
