Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!
Love, Jeff, Shelly, Zoe & Kolby

Here is a picture with Alexis and the three baskets that she has woven in the past week and a half! I'm so freaking proud of her and super excited that Sue has agreed to continue teaching her one on one after I leave!
And my most recent completion, the Cherokee Basket. I wasn 't sure if I would really like this one just a whole lot, but I really do like it! Now, I just need to figure out what to do with it. Any guesses on where it might end up? Suggestions?
Not much new to report on our front. The kids and I are still thoroughly enjoying our visit in TX. Mom's on vacation for the entire week, so I really get to annoy the crap out of her now! *winks* We spent most of today shopping at JcPenney. They had tons of super cute clothes on clearance for $1.97! Needless to say, the kiddos are now set for school and I even have an extra few pieces! YAY us!
Jeff is doing well. We've been so blessed getting to talk every night. I really don't know how spouses did it back in the day (which really wasn't all that long ago) when they had to rely on a 15 minute phone call only god knew when and letters. I'm not sure that I could have done that. I think it's terrible just getting to talk to him about 15 minutes a day! Ha, but I'm a baby like that I suppose! :) We are getting to spoil him a lot lately though. With at least a package a week filled with goodies for him and 3 just today, we've been able to send him lots of stuff to fill his tummy and keep him somewhat entertained at least!
Hopefully everyone is having a superb summer! Our love to all!
Thanks for the photo link. ALexis is a natch for weaving! I can't believe how straight and symetric the sides are on all her 1st 3 baskets! Hm, I wonder if Sue had something to do with that, lol? BTW, I was one of those spouses "back in the day" that had to rely on ONCE WEEKLY 15-30 min phone calls and tons of letters (which I still have). It was horrible, it sucked big time and lots of other stuff I can't repeat. Thanks for sharing you brat.
Ha! Alexis actually does have a natural talent for weaving. Sue helped her very little if you can believe that! Now, my cherokee basket, she took away from me. But I will say that the reed she got in that batch was not very well cut to width. Some of them were almost a 1/4 inch wider than they were suppose to be, so it made keeping the basket even close to tight really difficult. Tehehehe.

BTW, please don't respond back to my gmail account. I never check that thing anymore. I'm bad, I know.
