| That's what his teacher wrote on Kolby's diagnostic report that we received from school today. Here's the first paragraph. This student's Grade Equivalent (GE) score is 5.4. His reading skills are therefore comparable to those of an average fifth grader after the fourth month of the school year. Kolby aslo achieved a national Percentile Rank (PR) of 96. This score is in the above average range and means that Kolby scored greater than 96% of students nationally in the same grade. The PR Range indicates taht, if this student had taken the STAR reading test numerous times, most of his scores would likely have fallen between 90 and 98. It reflects the amount of statistical variability in a student's PR score. Uh, like it needs to be said that we are so freaking proud of him and all of his efforts! ;) WAY TO GO KOLBY!!!!! |
