A New Baby for Our Family
| No, no, I'm not pregnant and no, we didn't adopt a child. We did however increase the members of our family by two today. I have wanted a little lap dog for quite some time now. I miss having one and Jeff finally said that I could get one! YAY! My intention was to get a little rescue Yorkie. So, I have spent hours and hours online going through all of the different state wide Yorkie rescue websites. Then yesterday, I decided to stop in at the local shelter here. I found this adorable female Yorkie there. She was bigger than I really wanted honestly, but just too precious to turn down. And there was this super adorable tiny, tiny chihuaha that just loved all over me too. So, I came home and told Jeff about both of them. He said that I could have one, but not two. I figured that I could talk him into both once he went with me to meet them today. Well, my plan didn't go exactly as I had imagined it. Oh, he fell in love with two dogs alright! But not MY two! He spotted this little Jack Russell Terrier mix there and I swear I knew instantly that we were going home with Ozzy.  We couldn't bring him home right then. He needed his booster shots and microchip. So, Jeff went out to the flying field to meet up with Glenn and I went back later to pick up Ozzy from the shelter. Then off to meet up with his new daddy at the flying field.   Kobly just couldn't wait!  Sorry Kolby, I know that someday you are going to HATE me for that, but I absolutely could NOT resist! Ozzy then came home and seems to have settled in nicely already. He is just so sweet and adorable. Oh, and he has one brown eye and one green eye! Too cute!  The other dog that we got was the tiny, tiny one. His name is Smokey but he won't be home with us until Thursday as he had not been neutered yet. Ozzy seems to be a very well behaved dog and is fitting right in here with our little (or not so little) family. |
