OKC here we come!
| Sissy and I loaded up into my car this morning to head off to OKC for her follow up visit with the surgeon. Her ACL seems to have healed up nicely, but the muscle is extremely tight. Nothing to worry about though. She is officially an outdoor dog again, and I have been instructed to make sure that she is swimming for a minimum of 10 minutes a day this week and then bump it up to 20 minutes next week and 30 minutes the following week. Then, on Saturday......YEP SATURDAY.....Sept. 8th, I will have to take her back to OKC to start her physical therapy. What does that mean? Driving 310 miles round trip for a 30 minute physical therapy session. Pfft. I asked if we could have that done here locally, but she explained that she couldn't guarantee the work of another therapist and she would prefer that we work with one that she knows well. Also, the surgeon will be there to work with Sissy too. Okay, can't argue that logic I suppose. There's absolutely no denying that this dog is loved! Tehehehe When we got home, we went straight into the pool. It took a lot of work to get her to use her leg at all, but eventually she started using it a little bit. We are suppose to be encouraging her to use that leg right up until it starts to hurt. *laughs* I guess that at some point Sissy will look up at us and tell us that it is starting to hurt right? Tehehehe *****public service announcement (particularly for Bill)******Jeff is still working the late hours, so for those of you that are looking to catch him, sometime between 9am and noon is your best bet! Well, it's been a long day already and I haven't even started dinner, so I'm off to do that now! Huge hugs and kisses to everyone! |

Hi Shelly, Jeff, Zoe and Kolby. I'm gald the pool is back in order. I'm just sitting at my desk eating lunch and thought I would see what you have been up to. Nothing much going on here - we are in the process of getting all new flooring in the house That's keeping us busy!
