Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!
Love, Jeff, Shelly, Zoe & Kolby

Zoe left with her team for a tournament near Dallas on Thursday morning. That night she called me after 10pm crying because she was hurting so bad and the coach had pushed them way too hard. She told me then that she probably wouldn't be playing in anymore of the 7 games to come over the next couple of days.
Amazingly enough, I got a call Friday morning from her that she thought she had broken her arm. The coach sent her to the trainer to have it checked and the trainer seemed to think that at the least, it was fractured. Apparently it was swollen 3 times the size of her other arm. So, I sat by waiting for them to call me from the hospital. After the X-Rays, we found out that it wasn't broken at all, but instead she had a severe contusion. They wrapped it, gave her anti inflammatorys and pain pills and told her that she probably wouldn't be able to play for a couple of weeks. I offered to drive to get her, but she opted to stay with the team.
Then, I get a call Friday night from her all kinds of loopy telling me that she would be playing Saturday as a couple of girls were completely wiped out from playing due to their own injuries. I was slightly bothered by this and hesitantly told her to at least not take her meds before playing. I figure she gets hurt enough when she has a clear head.
Low and behold, I got a call Saturday morning that they lost their game and that yet again she had been injured. She managed to get elbowed in the eye which is now swollen and red and pulled a muscle in her leg. Unfortunately, the coach had no one else to put in the game, so he made her continue playing the last 2 minutes of the game despite her begging him to take her off the field.
Can you believe that she is loving soccer now more than ever?!?!?!?!
