Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!

After a long night of painting by me, Zoe and Jeff, we all still got up for even more work today. Jeff started on putting the bench together in the screened porch and I started recovering the kitchen chair seats with the material that mom shipped to us out of her stash! THANKS MOM!!! Here are a few pictures of the new dining room chairs.
Mom called while I was doing the chairs to ask me to make her 4 custom baskets. Of course I agreed and then asked HER to make us some cushions for the new bench outside. To which she also agreed...hesitantly as it may have been. BUT when I got back to working on the chairs I thought to myself, "Self, why couldn't you make the cushions like you are doing right now on the dining room chairs?" To which I replied to myself, "Self, you COULD do it just like the dining room chairs." So, full of excitement, I finished up the chairs, grabbed Zoe off and drove to Columbia to hit up Joann's Fabric to find the foam and material. Then off to Lowe's to buy the plywood. I couldn't get home fast enough with all of the supplies but when I did, just an hour later, we had these!
And yes, that is the completed bench! Kolby helped dad with screwing the boards and such in. So, all 4 of us had a hand or two (sometimes) to getting this project completed! How awesome is that? It still needs the last coat of paint, but I will do that tomorrow. Tonight, we all wanted to enjoy it for a bit!
And one last picture of Zoe finally getting her ONE chore expected of her daily done....I had to go tower over her in her room to remind her that she had forgotten something though! Tehehehe.
