OOH, OOH!
| I just realized that I never updated how Kolby did in the tournament this past weekend! Well, his team came in 3rd place. While Kolby ended up in only one of the matches, he was certainly the MOST amusing! I think we might be preaching just a bit too much that martial arts is for self defense only! Kolby kicked some serious butt blocking the other kids blows to him, but refused to jump in and try to get some of his own blows in on the other kid. So, as the parents sat looking through the glass window laughing, Kolby and the kid he was against did a little dance that HAD to have gone on for 5 minutes......the other matches lasted maybe a minute and a half....maybe! They were all over the place and Kolby really made the other boy work to get to his 5 points in the match! Tehehehe. The greatest part? Kolby won the 'Best Sportsmanship' award for his division! WAY TO GO KOLBY!!!! We are all incredibly proud of him! And will be working on the "defense only" thing for future tournaments! Tehehehe! |
