Welcome to our crazy corner of the world! Since we have family that is spread across the country, we decided to set up this blog so that
those that we love and miss would have an even better glimpse into our daily lives.
Sit back and enjoy. Hopefully, you will enjoy the ride as much as we do!
Love, Jeff, Shelly, Zoe & Kolby

Whew, day one of the competition is finally under our belt. Jeff is flying superbly....as if anyone expected anything less though right? Last night during practice, he realized that he was having an issue with his main transmitter and had to do a little surgery on it, but felt confident that his plan would work out fine to correct the situation. Don't get me to lying about what the issue was though. Something about a stick getting hit too hard with all of his adrenaline pumping and pushing too far back thus messing up one of his manuevers. I told you not to ask! Tehehehe. Ask him when you talk to him if you want better details.......I just don't have them!
Lightning is a HUGE hit around here. I just adore sitting around listening in as people rave about Jeff and his craftsmanship/flying! I'm terribly proud of him and his accomplishments!
As it stands right now, with 2 rounds in and 4 more to go, Jeff is in 10th place (out of about 45-50 by the way). I'm overly impressed with this. If you know Jeff and his flying, the first couple of flights are never his best and his score is well on the heels of the guy that came in first place for the day. Not that the scoring matters much today. See, they have 3 seperate lines flying for the Master's division each day. Each line has their own set of judges. So, everyone is not quite on the same page just yet. Tomorrow will give us a little bit better indication of where he is standing and Friday, well Friday will tell us if he made it into the finals. Does anyone reading this doubt that he will make the finals though? Yeah, I didn't thini so!
I will say thought that with all of the airplanes flying through the air at the same time, it is a spectaculiar sight to see..........even if it does give me a near heart attack from fear of a mid air collision every once in awhile!
Here are a few random pictures from today.
And a video of Jeff's first flight in the competition today! It's far from great.....kind of crappy actually, but it's all that I got! Hopefully one day, I will not only have a MUCH better camera to snap away with, but also have a good video camera with a really great optical zoom to record these kinds of things with! Tehehehe.
