Whew!
Well, it's Thursday. Which means that the first week of school is almost over. YAY! I think that this is one of the toughest weeks of the year. What with getting schedules all back into place AND adding Kolby starting school, it's been a bit insane.

The vet came by to give Sissy new medication. Seems that one of the three bacterial strains going on in her leg was a very aggressive and deep seeded. Thus needed stronger antibiotics than she was already on. Hopefully this will nip everything in the bud and we won't have anymore issues with her. Lucky has lost another 4 lbs. The vet drew blood to see if there may be an issue with his pancreas and we got some deworming medicine on the off chance that perhaps the tests just aren't showing that he does in fact have worms. It's quite unlikely that is the case based on what she said, but better safe than sorry at this point. We won't get the bloodwork back for the pancreas for 7-10 working days. If there is a problem with his pancreas, it's just a matter of supplements as far as we understand. Easy huh? We are keeping our fingers crossed that this is the issue. Should it show that it is functioning properly, then it seems that the concensus suggests an intestinal biopsy. This is something that our vet does not want to do or even consider at this point. It's a very invasive surgery that would be referred to....none other than....OKC and if it is intestinal cancer, there isn't anything that we can do. So, keep Lucky in your thoughts and hope that it's the pancreas. It's not the best possible news we could hope for, but it's better than what seems to be the last alternative.

As for nosey neighbor...........haven't seen hide or hair of him lately. Thank goodness. The tarp is up and I am more than surprised that we haven't had a visit from the police in regard to it. Perhaps he is just too scared at this point! Tehehehe.

Thanks to nosey neighbor, we have had to put a bark collar on Ozzy. We worry about what NN is capable of and don't want him throwing over poison for Ozzy. So, hopefully if we can keep him at least kind of quiet, NN won't be tempted to do anything stupid. Of course, it breaks my heart. Ozzy tried barking a couple of times and then ran through the yard yelping before coming to a complete stop with an intense fear in his eyes. He seems super paranoid and clingy now. The vet recommended giving him another day or two with it, but if he doesn't seem to calm down or appear to be adjusting to it then we will take it off. Poor Ozzy.

There likely won't be anymore updates until Monday or Tuesday. Jeff and I are taking the kids camping in Oklahoma this weekend. The big escape if you will! Thehehe. Lots of pictures.....promise!

And on that note, here are a few random shots of the kids from today. Hope everyone is doing beautifully. We love and miss you all!
