Quickie
Jeff should be home within the next 30 minutes or so! YAY!!! I'm soo super excited. He won the competition (of course...as if there was any chance of him not winning it)but not only did he win the whole competition, he won every one of the six rounds! Wow!!! He completely and totally rocks! I'm just disappointed that I had to miss it!

Which brings me to another point. I finally caught nosey neighbor at home at 10pm Friday night. I told him that I didn't appreciate him waiting until Jeff and I had clearly left town (as he was watching us pack) to call animal control. Thus ruining my weekend with my husband AND causing me to have to rent a car and drive 4 hours back to WF to try to clean up the incredible mess that he had created for no good reason at all! He tried to deny ever phoning animal control, but when I told him that their office informed me that he was the one that in fact called in the complaint, he fessed up to doing it. He said that he only told them that one of the dogs always barked at the fence whenever he was out in his back yard. I made certain to inform him that I was absolutely certain he was lying. After all, animal control didn't make up all of the other stuff just to make him look bad. Silly old man! I provided him with several thousand dollars worth of vet bills (only about half of all of them) to help put his mind at ease that our animals are all very well cared for. I also showed him the sticky note with the WFPD's number on it and informed him that any complaints or concerns he has in regard to anyone or anything on our property from here on out should be directed to the police department only. I instructed him that he is never again to speak to anyone on our property again and explained that we were tired of everyone getting harrassed by him anytime they come over. He stated that he had never spoken to anyone that had come over before. Again, I assured him that I knew he was lying and asked him why he thought that all of our friends and family had it out for him and were making up such ridiculous lies about him. He had nothing to say at that point. I also made certain that he understood that if I caught his dogs out in his front yard again without a leash, I would pick them up, allowing their mean butts to bite me and locking them in my garage until animal control arrives. He was less than impressed by this. So at that point, I pointed out that his yappy, barking, mean dogs also bark non stop when they are outside and we have yet to ever call animal control on them. I then explained that it is called respect....meaning that if we had an issue with him or his animals, we would come directly to him. I explained that it is only the polite thing to do after all. He started mumbling something or another and then ran off to chase both of his dogs down that had already run out to the street while I was speaking to him. I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of it all as I reminded him to phone the police with any future problems and walked back into our home.

I decided to leave the pleasure of actually hanging the tarp up along the fence line for Jeff to do. I think he will actually enjoy that particular "honey do". Tehehehe. We have tons of signs to pick up from Pop's shop tomorrow to hang as well! YAY! Other than that, not much else to report on that front right now!

School starts tomorrow. The kids are both super excited. Wish I could say the same. Jeff took the morning off so that he could take Zoe to school.....in the Porsche.....and then hang with me for a little bit. I'm so very thankful that he thought to take a little bit of extra time off. I have no doubt that I am going to be a complete wreck! He's so unbelievably wonderful. Lucky, lucky girl I am.

Well, the national anthem is playing. Which means it is 5:00. That means that I need to get off of here, start dinner and jump into Jeff's arms any minute!

More tomorrow!
