Spontaneous Combustion
| Now, someone....anyone....care to tell me that it isn't THAT bad in Texas? Where else have you ever heard of this? Hot enough to cause a playground to just explode into flames due to excessive heat? That is REALLY hot! Donna, are you certain that you want to subject yourself to this heat? Muwahahaha. Fortunately, it will have hopefully cooled down a tad by the time that you get here! Tehehehe By the way, we are all super excited that you are coming for a visit next month! ARLINGTON – The sudden heat wave has brought something more menacing than sunburns and higher electric bills. The latest sign of summer just might be spontaneous combustion. Arlington schools Superintendent Mac Bernd announced Monday that he would replace all the "engineered wood fiber" material on the district's playgrounds after one burst into flames last week. A review of footage from a surveillance camera determined that no one was around to start the fire – either accidentally or intentionally. More to come later today. Drama seems to surround and envelop our home lately. But I will leave you in suspense until further information is available! *grins* |
