| We went this past weekend to Temple, TX for Jeff's first competition of the season. He got off to a REALLY rough start. We woke up later than desired on Saturday and the line at Starbucks was horrendous! Then we get to the flying field and have to take a less than attractive spot to set up. The fog was unbelievable, which forced the starting time back much later. Finally, Jeff gets to fly and was doing an amazing job.....especially considering that he only got to practice this pattern 12 times before hand. Then it happened. His throttle got stuck at about 1/3 speed and that was that. He ended up having to fly randomly in the air until the plane ran out of gas. Poor Jeff was still off his game come time for his second flight and it showed. The next day, he did amazingly well! Completely on the top. I am so very proud of him and absolutely can't wait for the competition in Albuqurque next month! Way to go baby!!!                  |
