Oops! My Bad!
| I hadn't realized that it had been so long since I really blogged last. We've been super busy around here lately getting ready for all of the upcoming excursions and such. Tera and Kaia officially move in tomorrow. YAY! Everyone is very excited about this....well, except for Kolby. He's not so sure about Kaia now that she is telling everyone that he is her boyfriend. Tehehehe. The realtor came by the house yesterday to do a walk through. Boy oh boy do I have some work to do! We set a deadline and will have our first open house the weekend of May 18th. Which means that everything must be completed no later than May 16th so that we can get the pictures. We have to paint the master bath, Zoe's room, kitchen, the primary bath and the shop. On top of that, we need to clear out the sunroom and put some "lighter" furniture in here. Thus leaving us with storing the living room furniture. We need to "stage" the master bedroom nook as an office of sorts. Empty out the garage some more, but not leaving any packing boxes around as that will make it appear that we are in some hurry to sell the house. The shop needs new trim (which will need to be painted too). And we need to replace the faucets in the primary bathroom. Here's the worst part. I actually have to do something with this damn backyard! I think I'll call a landscaper or two for some estimates! Tehehehe. On top of all of this, Jeff still has to pack up the shop and airplanes to have move ready for me. I'm really not sure when we will find the time to do all of this and am just a little stressed out by it all. Jeff has finally finished the table. I covered the seat cushions last night and they are all mounted onto the chairs. He'll likely put it together tomorrow and have it up and in the house then too! YAY! It is so freaking beautiful. I just can't wait to show it off to everyone! He truly did an amazing job! The kids are both doing quite well and keeping us hopping with all of their activities. And I have started working. Today was my first day as a substitute teacher. Boys PE at the junior high of all things! Tehehehe. The extra income will be nice, but even nicer is that I get to decide if and when I work. I really think that I will like it, but we shall see. We are all geared up to leave for San Antonio on Friday. I can't wait to see Kolby's face when he sees Shamu and gets to go inside with the penguins. He's going to flip out! Zoe has been a few times already, so it won't be quite as exciting for her. Oh and Jeff got some news this week. It seems there is a chance that he will be going to Kelly AFB in San Antonio instead of Luke AFB for his training. That would be so freaking awesome! We could literally go visit anytime we wanted! YAY! This also would mean that his dates would get pushed back by one week. Super duper YAY! Please keep my step-mom, Pauline, and one of our very dear family friends, Harold, in your thoughts. Pauline had to have her thyroid removed a few weeks ago and it seems that it has come back showing cancer. They are doing some more tests and we should know something soon. Harold is fighting a terrible infection in Oklahoma City. Apparently, with the infection, whatever medication that they can use to help the infection, also shuts down the kidneys. I hope you both know that we love you more than you can imagine and are pulling for you even if we aren't right there with you. Not much else folks. Tera and Kaia just stopped by for a bit. So, I'm signing off. Sending everyone all of our love! |
Muwahahaha
| Why females should avoid a girl's night out after they are married....If this does not make you laugh out loud, you have lost your sense of humor. The other night I was invited out for a night with the 'girls'. I told my husband that I would be home by midnight , 'I promise!' Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easily. Around 3 a.m. , a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hallway started up and cuckooed 3 times. Quickly, realizing my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with him. (Even when totally smashed... 3 cuckoos plus 9 cuckoos totals 12 cuckoos = MIDNIGHT!) The e next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, I told him 'MIDNIGHT'... He didn't seem pissed off in the least. Whew, I got away with that one! Then he said 'We need a new cuckoo clock.' When I asked him why, he said, 'Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said 'oh shit.' Cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another three times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the coffee table and farted. Tehehehe. If we had a cuckoo clock, I could so see this happening in our house! Tehehehe. Well, except for the farting bit of course! My husband, being unhappy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor my moods. We've discovered that when I'm in a good mood, it turns green. When I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big freaking red mark on his forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy me a diamond. Dumb ass. Are you listening guys?!?!?!?! And one more....you can all thank my wonderful sister in law Kim for these! HOW THE FIGHT STARTED I rear-ended a car this morning. So there we are alongside the road and slowly the driver gets out of the car. . . and you know how you just-get-sooo-stressed and life-stuff seems to get funny? Yeah, well, I could NOT believe it . . . . . . . he was a DWARF! He storms over to my car, looks up at me and angrily says, " I'M NOT HAPPY!" So, I look down at him and say, 'Well, then which one are you?' That's when the fight started .................... |
