You Can't Handle the Tooth Fairy
For the past couple of weeks, the children and teachers at Kingsbury Elementary have been pulling together to raise money for Haiti. Oh, there were lots of incentives to raise this money too! 2 teachers agreed to shave their heads, 2 more agreed to eat meal worms, 1 teacher (who was already bald) agreed to wear a long, black, curly wig but the topper of it all was that if they raised over $1,500 then Principal Jackson would dress up as the tooth fairy. You know, like in that new movie? Tehehehe. Needless to say, I wasn't missing this one. So, I was at the school super early today! Each morning at school, the principal, counselor and several students host the Knightly News program and this is where everything has taken place of the past couple of weeks. The students have been talking non-stop and begging for money from anyone that would listen in order to reach their goals! Not only did they reach their goal, but they far exceeded it! The final count this morning on monies raised was $2,222.22. However, there was more money turned in after that count, so I don't know what the real final total is just yet. Here are some images from this morning though. The first group are from just outside the Knightly News Studio and the poster that has been hanging all over the school. The next ones are Kolby's classroom reacting to the news program itself and of course the last two are pictures of the news program on the classrooms tv! Tehehehehe.            Way to go everyone!
