What a Day
One Last Note
HOLY SCHMOKES! The light switches in this house still completely and totally confuse me! All 5 million of them!
UGH...One of those
Neighbors that is. You know, I'm very diligent in making sure that the puppies aren't let out of their kennels (in the shop) before 7/7:30 in the mornings and that they are put up every night before 9pm. Until last night that is. I was exhausted and ended up laying down super early and falling asleep. So, the puppies stayed outside last night. Apparently they barked so loud all night that they kept one of our neighbors up. She called my cell phone (which was no where near me) a couple of times around midnight telling me that I needed to take care of my dogs. I felt horrible and called her this morning to apologize and explain that normally they are put up in their kennels by 9pm and that it wouldn't happen again. She said it was fine as long as I didn't leave them out again and that she had already phoned our landlord. UGH! So, I called the landlord. He was super nice and told me that he told her they are dogs and that if it was that big of a problem, to knock on our door and talk to us about it because we are super nice people that want to be good neighbors. Then he told me not to worry about it, she's just a really feisty woman. I'm really thankful to have such a nice landlord and a little concerned about having another "nosey neighbor". I'm sure it will work out fine though. I hope anyway. Zoe made it to D.C. fine and hopefully finally slept last night so she won't be so tired and cranky today! Tehehe. She sounds like she is having fun though. She sent me a couple of pictures yesterday. One was of the blue diamond. I told her that was what I wanted for a souvenir! Tehehehe. This morning, Kolby got to have a webcam call with Jeff. He was so excited and just thought that was the coolest thing in the world! He misses him so much and keeps asking me why he couldn't just be gone for 6-9 days cause that's better than 6 months or a year. But, Jeff helped by telling him this morning that he had sent something for him and he should have it by the end of the week! Tehehehe. Kolby loves getting presents! In a couple of hours, we are leaving for OKC with mom to a family reunion for my Pop's family. It's a long drive, but I am really looking forward to it. Maybe someday I will convince my mom to start up our family reunion's again! I really miss those a lot! Jeff's doing well except for what seems to be fighting a sinus infection. He promised me that he would go to the doctor tomorrow though! Oh and it looks like he will have to go to Hickam AFB for work in February. YAY! No doubt I am going to meet him over there. I'm so freaking excited about that! Anyway, I better start getting ready for the trip. Hope everyone is doing great. We love and miss you all!
Just sitting around in Korea
My wonderful, beautiful, and smart wife has informed me that everyone is on pins and needles, anxiously awaiting my writen word. Well, here goes. It has been a busy almost three weeks. The first week was spend getting moved in, trying to adjust to the time change (which was horrible!) and starting inprocessing. The second week was spend getting the standard new guy briefings, and then continuing with inprocessing (it is a long and cumbersome process). At the end of week two I was informed that my job was going to be the guy incharge of exercises. What great news, considering that we had an exercise starting Friday of week 2 and going on through Friday of week 3. So last week was spent learning on the job. Luckily the guy currently in the job is still here for another month, so he guided me through the first exercise. Another "perk" of the job, is that I will hardly get to fly. I think that might make time go a bit slower, but I hope not. Tomorrow starts week four of the Korea experience, not that I am counting or anything. I am hoping to get my first flight before the end of the week. We will have to see.
